Mauritian flying fox

Vashsit reports on the problems facing the flying fox in Mauritus. The habitat for the fox has been degraded by non native animals and plants. They have been forced to eat fruit from orchards and gardens leading to conflict with landowners and a plan to cull a large number of animals. Now, research has shown the importance of native forests to conserve the food supply and allow the foxes to survive.
